Using ScreenNap
These terms apply to your use of ScreenNap. “We” means the ScreenNap developer, who you can contact below. Use the app only where you can legally agree to these terms, or with any parent or guardian permission required by law.
ScreenNap provides personal focus, screen time controls, reflection prompts, and related features. You must authorize the required iOS permissions and configure your own app selections and schedules. Review your settings before relying on a block, reminder, or temporary unlock.
App Store downloads are also subject to Apple’s applicable terms and Standard End User License Agreement where it applies. These terms do not remove rights you have under applicable consumer law.
Subscriptions and trials
Premium includes Deep Insights, which requires a signed in account, at least three reflections and an available online service, and Spotlight and Stories filter controls in ScreenNap’s Snapchat browser. App, category and website blocking, schedules and temporary access are free. After Premium ends, Deep Insights and Snapchat filter controls become unavailable. Blocking, saved rules, reflections, progress, basic app patterns and focus tools remain available. Available plans, prices, billing periods, trial eligibility, and any introductory offer are shown in the app and Apple’s purchase confirmation before you buy. Apple bills the Apple Account used for the purchase.
Automatically renewing subscriptions renew unless you cancel. A free trial, if offered and accepted, converts to the displayed paid plan unless canceled in time. Apple recommends canceling a free or discounted trial at least 24 hours before it ends. Check Apple’s subscription screen for your current renewal date and conditions.
- Cancel or change a plan: open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → ScreenNap, or use ScreenNap’s Manage Subscription option. See Apple’s cancellation instructions.
- Restore access: use Restore Purchases in ScreenNap while signed in to the same Apple Account used to buy. Restoration depends on a valid Apple purchase and verification. See Apple’s restoration guidance.
- Request a refund: use Apple’s Report a Problem service. Apple handles App Store refund requests under its rules and applicable law. See Apple’s refund instructions.
Deleting the app, signing out, or deleting your ScreenNap account does not cancel your Apple subscription. Cancel with Apple to stop future renewal.
Access can change when a subscription expires, a refund or revocation occurs, or Apple confirms a different status. Cloud account sign in does not replace Apple purchase verification. The plan and access status Apple confirms determine paid access.
Accounts and your content
You are responsible for your account access and the information you submit. Use your own account, keep credentials secure, and contact us if you suspect misuse. Do not impersonate others, send abusive friend requests, access another person’s private data, or interfere with the app or its services.
You retain your rights in your reflections and other content. You allow ScreenNap and its service providers to process that content to provide the features you request, including cloud sync and sharing you enable. Only submit content you have the right to provide. Avoid including another person’s sensitive information in a reflection.
Do not share abusive, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit or otherwise objectionable content, harass others, promote violence, send spam or violate another person’s privacy or rights. Public names and shared text pass a basic filter before sharing. Reflections rejected by the filter remain private; the filter cannot detect every harmful message or language. Use Report user or Report reflection from the menu beside a person or shared reflection in Friends, choose a reason and send the report. You can also use Block user or contact [email protected]. Reports enter a private queue for review by authorized moderators. We may dismiss a report, remove a reflection from sharing or suspend an account’s social access. Moderation removal remains in effect when content syncs again. Blocking prevents discovery, requests, sharing and leaderboard visibility in both directions. Unblocking does not restore a friendship or remove the other account’s block.
Points, streaks, rooms, and icons are app features, not money or transferable financial assets. They have no cash redemption value. Our Privacy Policy explains the information involved in accounts, reflections, and friends.
Other websites and services
Social websites opened inside ScreenNap are independent services. Your use of them remains subject to their terms, account rules, and privacy policies. ScreenNap is not affiliated with or endorsed by those platforms.
Website layouts and features can change, which can affect filters. ScreenNap cannot guarantee that every distracting element is hidden or that a website stops collecting data. Apple, Google, and Firebase also have their own terms for the services they provide.
Limits and availability
ScreenNap is a focus tool. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or an emergency service, and it does not guarantee a particular wellbeing or screen time outcome. Exercise prompts are optional; choose an activity appropriate for you and stop if uncomfortable.
Blocking, reports, reminders, camera features, speech, and cloud sync depend on your device, permissions, operating system, network, and provider availability. They may be interrupted or inaccurate. ScreenNap cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or that a block cannot be bypassed.
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, remedy, or liability that cannot legally be excluded, or limits your mandatory consumer rights.
Ending use and changes
You can stop using ScreenNap at any time. To delete a cloud account, use Settings → Account → Delete account and complete any requested verification. Cloud deletion removes the profile and synced content, friendships, requests, blocks and safety reports involving your account. A minimal deletion status record remains to prevent stale requests from recreating data. Contact us if deletion fails or you cannot access this option. Local device data, website sessions, other accounts and Apple subscriptions require separate action, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may restrict access when necessary to address unlawful use, account abuse, or security threats, subject to applicable law. We may update the app and these terms as features change. Updated terms will be posted here with a new date; material changes will be communicated as required by law.
